She said recently that while Los Angeles is where she works, home is most definitely in England.

So with Christmas just around the corner, Cheryl Cole was spotted arriving at LAX airport to catch a flight back to London this weekend.

The singer, 28, received VIP treatment at the airport, met by airline staff who carried her luggage and travel documents through the terminal.


Cheryl was in high spirits, smiling as she chatted to the greeter who met her at the curb.

The Parachute star has said she is looking forward to a quiet Christmas at home.
Her festive plans? 'Just family, dinner and dogs,' she said in a recent interview.

Cole may just be roasting the turkey and peeling the potatoes herself, too. 'I can do a full Christmas dinner,' she recently revealed. 'I find it quite therapeutic.’

Cheryl boarded her flight prepared for the frosty weather waiting for her at the other end.

She was dressed in leopard-print leggings and boots and bundled up in a cream fur jacket.

The former X Factor judge arrived back in the UK on Saturday, and tweeted, 'There's no place like home.'

But she certainly wasn't settling in for a night watching the X Factor final.

Cheryl admitted recently that she 'hasn't watched' this year's series, after departing the UK version herself last year and a brief stint on the US series.

They haven't spoken in almost a year but it seems Cher Lloyd hasn't let that stop her getting closer to former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole's look.

As the pint sized pop princess was spotted filming her latest video in L.A the 19-year-old looked more like her Geordie mentor than ever before.

Gone were the ripped jeans and trainers and in was a more stylish look suitable for a mini Cheryl Cole wannabee.


And the similarities don't stop there, the Swagger Jagger singer was even spotted puffing away on a cigarette during filming breaks.

Cheryl Cole is known to be a light smoker.

Cher came over to LA last Sunday and earlier this week visited the contestants of X Factor USA at their studio.

Coincidentally Cher's mentor Cheryl is also in LA at the moment working on her new album.

And Cher, 19, showed her teenage side on the shoot by snacking on a packet of crisps during filming breaks.

Cher recently told MailOnline how boyfriend Craig Monk, 21, keeps her grounded, and the pair showed they're certainly still completely smitten by linking arms and snuggling up to each other.

She is making her first foray into fashion and tonight Cheryl Cole made sure she generated a buzz at the launch party.

The Girls Aloud singer stepped out with huge hair in a larger-than-life beehive style to celebrate her collaboration with online fashion site Stylistpick.

Teaming the massive hair style which she held back with a gold headband, Cheryl had donned a scarlet satin dress with rouched and draping detail as well as cut-out panels, showing off her slim figure.


And adding extra inches Cheryl had donned a pair of extremely high beige suede shoes.

Cheryl had posted a snap of herself enjoying a cocktail to her Twitter page and commented: 'It's shoe time.. Haha ;-) '

On hand to support Cheryl was her fellow Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts who also attended the event and the girls posed together inside the bash.

The pair had enjoyed somewhat of a band reunion last night with Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh, but notably the group was minus Nadine Coyle.

She donned a variety of camouflage-style outfits when she was promoting her debut single Fight For This Love.

But yesterday Cheryl Cole wore the army colours for a different reason, as she became the new forces' sweetheart while visiting British troops in Afghanistan.

The 28-year-old star flew out to Camp Bastion in the Helmand province on Tuesday night on a visit to mark 10 years of British operations in the country.


Cheryl boarded a troop carrier plane at RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire for a 12-hour flight on Tuesday morning, having previously undergone hostile environment training to prepare her for the trip.

On the way to Afghanistan, Cheryl made herself useful on the flight, serving drinks and dinners of sausages and mash to her fellow passengers, who were flying out for a six-month tour.

Once in the Helmand Province, Cheryl was given her own army fatigues and took part in a mock gun fight, which she deemed 'terrifying'.

She added: 'I went into the room and heard an explosion.

'It was scary. I was terrified. I'm not ashamed to say I screamed and uttered a few expletives.'

Task Force Helmand chief, ­Lt Col Tim Purbrick, told the Daily Mirror: 'Cheryl was not afraid to get her shoes dirty.

'When everyone heard she was coming we did not know what to expect as she’s a huge star.

'But whatever ­preconceptions we had went out of the window as soon as we met her.

'I'm delighted to be here to recognise all the hard work they do. Every one of them is a hero in my book.'

One solider said of Cheryl's trip: 'She's a stunner and having her out here has lifted morale.

She's probably the biggest star to visit. Fair play to her, it's a dangerous place to come.'

The former Girls Aloud star agreed to fly to the war zone to film a tribute to the Armed Forces as part of the newspaper's Pride of Britain Awards, which are to be screened on ITV1 next month.

Cheryl follows in the footsteps of a number of celebrities and high-profile figures who have paid similar visits to the war-torn region.

Last May, footballer David Beckham made a surprise trip during which he paid tribute to the 'amazing' work of British troops and took part in a penalty challenge with 1st Battalion The Royal Gurkha Rifles.

Classical star Katherine Jenkins and singer and former soldier James Blunt have both performed for troops, while Prince William made a special trip in November to join servicemen at a remembrance service.

If Simon Cowell needed convincing that dropping Cheryl Cole from the U.S. version of The X Factor could have been a mistake, these pictures might do the trick.

The singer posed for the shots – some of her most provocative to date – in various locations in the South of France for her official 2012 calendar.

In July’s photograph, a tousled-haired and pouting Mrs Cole poses on all fours on a bed.

Not at home moping then? Cheryl Cole moves on from Ashley revelations partying with Will.i.am in Cannes

She's been in hiding since three different women kiss-and-told on her ex-husband Ashley Cole while they were in the process of reuniting.

But it appears Cheryl Cole isn't exactly moping around at home after she was photographed partying in Cannes.

The former X Factor judge has joined her manager, rapper Will.i.am on the French Riviera, who uploaded a picture of them together on his Twitter page.

The Black Eyed Peas star wrote: 'Its me and the "Tweety Nird" in Cannes, France... Me and Cheryl Cole in the south of France having fun.'

The following morning, he corrected himself: 'My last tweet I had a typo. I put "tweedy nird" but meant "tweedy bird". B and N are close...ooops.'


Wearing a strapless white dress, the singer looked tanned and happy as she held a glass while cosying up to her 36-year-old manager.

Earlier on Thursday evening, he declared he and his bandmate were staying on a 'mother-f**king boat' on the French Riviera.

But there won't be any chance of Ashley publicly rivaling his ex's manager with pictures of his own.

He said yesterday he had no intention of joining Twitter.

When asked on BBC's Football Focus whether he would, he said: 'Never. It’s certain people’s preferences but I prefer to keep myself to myself.'

Cheryl joined Twitter about a month ago and despite having more than 140,000 followers, she is yet to tweet anything.

Ashley also hit back at newspaper headlines, including about an incident earlier this year in which he accidentally shot and wounded a 21-year-old student at Chelsea’s training ground.

'Judge me on how I play football or judge me on when you meet me. Come and speak to me,' he said.

'If I’m a so-and-so, then fair enough, say it – but a lot of people judge others too quickly without actually knowing the full facts or the actual real person.

'If someone had actually seen the incident – you wouldn’t laugh because it was a stupid thing to do – but the whole situation was crazy. Of course it was an accident. But if I wanted to address every single thing in the papers I’d lose my mind. It makes me crazy now when I hear things. I’m just here to play football. That’s all I want to do.

However, while Cheryl was in LA, three different women came forward claiming they had slept with the Chelsea footballer around the time he was apparently winning his ex-wife back.

Air hostess Kerry Meades and lingerie model Jessyca Rayanne both allege they spent the night with him in LA just days before he flew to London for Cheryl's birthday party.

Former Miss Ireland Collette McBarron recently told the Mail how she lay all night talking to Ashley about his broken marriage one night in May - although she insists they didn't have sex, just kissed.

Following the revelations two weeks ago, Cheryl was reported to have texted Ashley saying their reconciliation was over.

Cheryl is now taking a break, but is preparing to start work on her third album soon, with Will.i.am collaborating with her again.

The Girls Aloud star has apparently been given a track written by Will.i.am originally intended for her X Factor protegee Cher Lloyd - who has a record deal with Simon Cowell's SyCo.

However, after Cheryl was unceremoniously fired from X Factor USA, a furious Will.i.am withdrew the track and offered it to his own client.

A source told M Is For Music: 'Cheryl loved the song from the start and didn’t think twice about recording a version after she was sure it would not be appearing on Cher’s album.

'There is no love lost between the two so she couldn’t care less what anyone has to say about her being offered the song.

'It’s a great track, so much so that it is being considered as the lead single from Cheryl’s third album.'

A local estate agent said: 'Cheryl has great taste. She is moving into the most prestigious address in the whole of LA.'

With a new home, the 28-year-old can finally move on, having called time on her doomed romance.

She has now instructed the shamed footballer: 'I’m done - delete my number.'

The former X Factor judge also cancelled a planned family party on what would have been their fifth wedding anniversary last Friday.

New reports have once again shown Ashley's true colours, with revelations he had a relationship with Virgin Atlantic crew member Kerry Meades.

They said: 'Once again Ashley appears to have outdone himself. Just as Cheryl’s getting back on track and working really hard on her music he does this. She is humiliated.

'Ashley had organised a family ­gathering, a barbecue, for when he got back from pre-season training in the Far East. This has been scrapped.

'Cheryl told him on the phone yesterday that clearly Ashley isn’t yet ready to be a committed family man.

'At one point they had a blazing row and Cheryl basically said she was through with him and told Ashley to delete her number and leave her alone.

'Cheryl is determined to keep her head down now and focus on work. What will be with Ashley will be. But it can wait.'

More heartache for Cheryl as Ashley is accused of a hat-trick of trysts

He has managed to win back Cheryl Cole, much to the dismay of many of her friends and family.

But Ashley Cole’s reunion with his ex-wife may not be as straightforward as he hoped.

At least three girls are set to claim they enjoyed recent liaisons with the Chelsea footballer around the time he was trying to woo Cheryl earlier this month, the Daily Mail has learned.


At her 28th birthday party at the start of this month, Mrs Cole left onlookers in no doubt that she was back with the man whose string of alleged affairs ended their marriage.

The pair’s very public display of affection came only eight months after their divorce was finalised.

But it is now alleged that Cole, 30, was enjoying trysts with at least three women despite trying to win back his ex-wife at the same time.

One is believed to be a 29-year-old Virgin Atlantic air hostess, who has claimed she spent the night with Cole only a few weeks ago at a mansion he had hired in Beverly Hills.

The pretty stewardess, who is British, is said to be ready to make her claims public and has contacted Max Clifford to help broker her story.

Cole had been holidaying in Los Angeles before flying to London to attend Cheryl’s party on July 1.

A source close to the air hostess said: ‘She was with Ashley a few times, the most recent was just a couple of weeks ago. Cheryl’s at her most vulnerable, and Ashley sees an opportunity to get her back.’

Another friend said: ‘She had no idea Ashley was in the process of getting back with Cheryl and was horrified when she found out. She would never have gone near him had she known. She feels really bad for Cheryl.’

The other two girls are believed to be bikini models who Cole met in Hollywood. Last night, Mr Clifford told the Mail: ‘In recent weeks, three girls have been in touch with me claiming to have had recent relationships with Ashley Cole.

They will be coming to see me and I’ll see if there is any evidence to back up these allegations.’

Mrs Cole, who was axed as a judge from the U.S. X Factor in May, has been in Los Angeles for the past week. Cole will this week join Chelsea on a pre-season tour of Asia.

Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie, a close friend of Mrs Cole, told how the star had never wanted to divorce.

The pair married in 2006 but Mrs Cole finally filed for divorce in May last year after rumours he had had flings with at least five other women.

Speaking of their reconciliation, Fergie said: ‘It’s easy for people to say she’s crazy taking him back, but life isn’t as simple as that. She should go for it if that’s what she wants. She really loved him and didn’t want to get divorced, she just felt she had no choice.’

But she added: ‘The next chance will be Ashley’s last chance, there’s no doubt about that. Cheryl’s a lot stronger than she was two years ago. The relationship will be on her terms.’

'I won't pick up the pieces again': Cheryl Cole slammed by friend Derek Hough over reunion with ex-husband Ashley

He was her 'rock' and her shoulder to cry on when her marriage fell apart.

But Derek Hough has told Cheryl Cole that if she reconciles with ex-husband Ashley then he will not be there to pick up the pieces again.

According to reports, the dancer, who was also by the pop star's side when she was gravely ill with malaria, warned her not to go back to the Chelsea footballer because she will end up heartbroken.


Taking Girls Aloud band mate and friend Kimberley Walsh, 29, along for moral support, Cheryl, 28, met Derek, 26, for dinner in Los Angeles on Friday night, and broke the news that she was reconciling with Ashley, according to the Sunday Mirror.

But Derek was said to be furious at the news and warned her that she would end up heartbroken again - but he would not be there for her again.

A friend told the paper: 'He has accepted their relationship is over. But he still cares for her as a friend and is convinced Cheryl getting back with Ashley is going to end one way... with Cheryl in tears and heartbroken.'

Derek is believed to have told Cheryl that she deserves better and was gobsmacked that she would want to go back to the man that she has spent the last year getting over.

The friend added: 'He told her, "a cheat will never change and whatever you think, he will betray you. If he breaks your heart again, I will not be your shoulder to cry on".'

It is the first time that Derek and Cheryl have met up since her humiliating sacking from the X Factor USA judging panel two months ago.

Wearing a cream leather jacket and emerald-green jeans, and sporting a new bobbed hairstyle, Cheryl looked happier and healthier than she has in months.

She was laughing as she arrived at the Sushi Roku restaurant in Hollywood at around 10pm.

Derek, who dated Cheryl for over a year, arrived 10 minutes later and the group spent more than an hour at a corner table talking intimately.

But Derek left looking very upset about 15 minutes later, according to onlookers.

Derek, a dancer on American TV series Dancing With The Stars, the US version of Strictly Come Dancing, met Cheryl in 2009 when he was hired to perform in the video for her single Parachutes.

At the time, she was still married to Ashley but the couple split after he was alleged to have cheated on her with five different women.

And now it appears there is confirmation that their relationship is back on track as the two get intimate on a romantic day out.

In astonishing new photos, Cheryl is seen jumping into Ashley's arms, wrapping her legs around him and going in for a kiss.


In another shot, the Girl Aloud singer is seen gazing at the Chelsea player from across the dinner table, holding his hand as the pair enjoy a glass of rose wine.

The pair also get hands on with one another, as Cheryl lifts up Ashley white T-shirt only to expose his back, while he firmly clasps his hands on her denim-clad bottom.

However, as you may have guessed, the pictures aren't actually of the famous exes, but instead of lookalikes, set up for a series of pictures taken by celebrity photographer Alison Jackson for celebrity magazine Heat.

Jackson shot to fame when she put together a picture which apparently showed Princess Diana, Dodi Al-Fayed and a mixed-race baby.

But Jackson, who also produces pictures of royal family lookalikes, admitted recently her work takes a lot of time.

Describing how she sets up for a shot, Jackson said: 'I draw up lists of what is needed, contact the various experts such as wig and clothes-makers, make-up artists and lookalike models - and then work closely with them to achieve the exact look I’m seeking.

'Ultimately, though, it’s up to me to capture the right moment where they all look as I envisaged.

'All this is very expensive; consequently, I don’t take many photographs, maybe one or two a month.'

Meanwhile the real Ashley Cole has declared his intention to marry Cheryl again... just nine months after they divorced.

His announcement followed Cheryl's 28th birthday party last Friday night when the couple were seen kissing in front of friends and family – including the X Factor judge's still-disapproving mother.

Their secret affair had started well before she made her ill-fated bid to crack America on The X Factor USA.

And on last Saturday night after the bash, Ashley was seen heading back to the newly-blonde singer's hotel to spend the night with her.

'Ash made it clear to all his friends that he wanted to win Cheryl back and they've been properly in touch for the past six months, meeting at his brother Matty's house.

'They've spent so many evenings together, it was all like a covert operation.

'There was a kiss here and there, but things got a little bit more intimate just before Cheryl went to America.'

After Cheryl's £20,000 bash at London's Sanderson hotel, Ashley was seen to head upstairs to his ex-wife's £1,000-a-night penthouse suite at the hotel.

Contrary to reports, Cheryl's mother Joan Callaghan, 51, is not happy about the reunion.

The friend added: 'The only big opposition is Joan, she's really depressed about this.'

Cheryl's mother can hardly be excited about reports in the tabloids that state that the couple got back together because they want children and could not live without each other.

Cheryl is back home and they have never been happier.

'Ashley has got his wife back, and this time it’s for keeps,' a source told The Mirror.

'He has learned from his mistakes and knows he messed up but he’s promised Cheryl he will change.'
