The American-Armenian had a pretty serious face on as she quizzed staff about her options, standing in painfully thin-heeled shoes .

Was Kim Kardashian's marriage a fraud? Kris Humphries to fight for an annulment - not divorce

NBA star Kris Humphries is seeking to erase his marriage to Kim Kardashian from the record.

The 26-year-old wants to annul his 72-day marriage to reality star Kim Kardashian, 31 , on the grounds of fraud, and filed the papers today.

According to People, his Superior Court filing has the box reading 'nullity of voidable marriage' marked and checks as the basis the box saying 'fraud.'

According to California law, a nullity is granted if the court finds that no valid marriage ever took place.

Along with fraud, grounds for an annulment include bigamy, incest, force or if the couple are under the age of consent.

Humphries's papers say that if he's not granted an annulment then he wants a legal separation and not a divorce under any circumstances.

The basketball star agrees on the date of separation, however, which he also lists as October 31.

Annulments can be difficult to obtain, with a legal expert telling the publication that he will likely have to prove that fraud was actually committed.

But Kim is telling her friends that she absolutely loved Kris and the marriage just fell apart, according to TMZ, so she's unlikely to be agree with this assessment.

LA family lawyer Scott Weston, who is not dealing with the celebrity couple, said Kardashian will probably fight the matter 'unless she's willing to agree that she defrauded him.'

It could mean the pair will end up in a bitter court battle.

'[Kris] is sensitive to marriage both emotionally and religiously,' a source told the magazine, adding that the move is 'symbolic' rather than financially motivated.

'He went into it in good faith and never expected things to turn out this way,' says the source.

Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries on October 31, citing irreconcilable differences.

The pair's troubles seemed to start immediately after their wedding and were on display in the season premiere of Kourtney & Kim Take New York.

Kim had made no secret of her wedding dreams long before she'd even met Kris, but now feels that she has to be more realistic when it comes to men.

In an interview with US Glamour magazine, Kardashian said: 'I'll always be a hopeless romantic. It means that I believe and love and the dream of having a perfect relationship, but my idea of it has changed.

'I think I need to not live in a fairytale like that. I think I maybe need to just snap out of it and be a little more realistic. What I want isn't possible.'

While her sister Kourtney has just announced she is pregnant with her second child, the 31-year-old fears she may never become a mother.

She said: 'I always wanted what my parents had. And at first I was like, I want six kids. Then I went down to four, then I was down to three, and now I'm just like, maybe I won't have any. Maybe I'll just be a good aunt.

'At this moment in my life, I feel like maybe I'm not supposed to have kids and all that. That's how I feel. Maybe my fairytale has a different ending than I dreamed it would, but that's OK.'

Kim Kardashian's former publicist claims the reality star has never got over her ex Reggie Bush - and that her marriage to Kris Humphries was a sham.

Jonathan Jaxson - who worked with the reality star between 2007 and 2009 - has renewed claims Kim's nuptials to NBA star Humphries were a publicity stunt.

Speaking on Good Day LA this morning, Jaxson said: 'Two weeks prior to her wedding she knew it was not something she wanted to do.

'Unfortunately they were obligated to honour contracts [with the E! network which had TV rights] otherwise they would have owed a lot of people a lot of money.'

Earlier this week during an interview with New York's Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, Jaxson said: 'She's never gotten over [her ex Reggie Bush].'

Kim, 31, and 26-year-old NFL star Reggie were the subject of repeated engagement claims throughout their relationship.

The couple dated for around two years before initially splitting in July 2009. Two months later they got back together before ending their relationship again in March last year.

Jaxson claimed he would often help Kim stage publicity stunts when he worked with her.

He continued: 'I staged several of the moments that the world has seen of her, such as a ring that we alleged was from Reggie Bush.'

The publicist talked about how he helped generate a fake engagement story between Kim and Reggie in 2007 by setting up paparazzi to take pictures of her leaving a Beverly Hills jewellery store.

She then sported a ring on her wedding finger in public - which Jaxson claimed is identical to the one Kris proposed to Kim with.

Jaxson added that there is no doubt Kim and Kris, 26, made a packet during their time together.

Despite Kim's mother Kris Jenner insisting her daughter 'didn't make a dime out of the wedding - responding to reports the couple netted a whopping $17.9m - Jaxson begs to differ.

He told the radio show on Wednesday: 'They had a lot of contracts, they had endorsements. To say they weren't paid is a lot of foolish garbage.'

Kim is yet to respond to her former publicist's claims.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that Humphries is using Minnesota-based lawyer Lee Hutton to end his marriage with Kim.

Hutton represents a lot of sports stars, although does not tend to deal with divorces, according to TMZ.

But as the divorce is quite straight forward, it should not be an issue. Kim and Kris are not disputing who gets what in the division of assets due to the prenup being put in place.

Kim is currently in Atlanta shooting for a cameo role in the Tyler Perry movie, The Marriage Counsellor and was spotted on set again today for her last day of filming.

Yesterday her mother Jenner jetted out to visit her daughter for an overnight stay before flying back to LA today.

The honeymoon was actually a surprise for Kim, as she had thought they would celebrate their wedding next year instead, due to Kim's work commitments.

The chalet, which is built on two levels, contained a king-sized bedroom, master bathroom with jacuzzi, and a terrace which led out to a private garden, complete with an infinity pool on the floor below.

However, the couple won't have to worry too much about the cost of their romantic break, as Kim is said to have earned around $1.5million for their wedding photographs, which were sold to People magazine.

Add to that her fee for the television footage, which will be aired by the E! network in a two-part special, Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, on October 9th and 10th.

No help required: The couple carried various items on board the ship without the help of any assistants


The couple tied the knot in front of 400 guest including celebrities such as Eva Longoria, former Spice Girl Mel B and tennis star Serena Williams.

Kim's mother Kris Jenner said of the big day: 'It felt like a fairytale. The whole event unfolded so beautifully I wanted to stop time so I could enjoy each moment over and over again.'

And talking of his bride, Kris said: 'She took my breath away. She was so shockingly beautiful.

'It was hitting me just how fast everything happened. And yet, "I feel like I'm perfect for her and she's perfect for me.'

Following the festivities, Kim and Kris have since moved to New York since their romantic getaways.

It is bound to be a very different series this time round, with newlywed Kim -who was steadfastly single last time round- and Kris setting up home in the presidential penthouse at the Gansevoort Hotel.

Because surely, looking at this picture, that's the only way that the 30-year-old reality juggernaut managed to reach new husband Kris Humphries, 26, for that kiss after 'I do.'

The 5ft 2in star did have a large tulle skirt designed by wedding frock guru Vera Wang, after all, so was there more going on than we realised?


It's a bafflement otherwise as to how the diminutive powerhouse at the heart of the Kardashian family reached her 6ft 9in basketball player's lips.

After all, Kim is rarely without her platform Louboutin heels and though it's impossible to discern what's beneath her chic grey trousers, it's more of a hypothesis than a guess to suggest some added height.

Of course, this angle exacerbates the height disparity, and we all know you can make anything work if you want it badly enough.

How do they reach? If Kris ever wants to ignore Kim, he need only look straight ahead


Small though she may be, especially in comparison to her mister, Kim looked fantastic in the Big Apple earlier.

In a world stuffed full of sycophantic presenters, it's refreshing when one is brave enough to burst a celebrity balloon.

So when Mike Jerrick of Philadelphia's Fox 29 morning show, Good Day, decided to mock and mimic the Kardashian sisters live on air just moments after wrapping up an interview with them, his co-host couldn't stop laughing.

The TV frontman immediately ridiculed the sisters' high pitched voices and even joked about their shoulder pads after his live video link conversation with the reality stars.

He asked co-host Sheinelle Jones: 'Can they still hear us?.'

But even she couldn't keep a straight face as her co-host continued to speak in a nasal Kardashian-esque voice.

Sears hopes that the Kardashians will help draw a younger, more image-conscious customer to the store.
