Baby's first trip: Denise Richards jets into New York with new adopted daughter Eloise

New mum - again: Denise Richards looked tired but happy as she jetted into New York from LA with newborn adopted daughter Eloise

With a famous mother jumping on planes at a moment's notice, it's a lifestyle that baby Eloise Joni will soon have to start getting used to.

And although she may only be six-weeks-old, she appeared to take her very first public trip in her stride.

The newborn, who was recently adopted by actress Denise Richards, snuggled into her new mother as they jetted in to New York last night.

She was very well-behaved and gazed up at her new mother as her sisters Sam, 7, and Lola, 6, from Denise's marriage to Charlie Sheen, fussed around her.

The actress, 40, looked a little tired, but it couldn't have been an easy flight with two young girls and a tiny baby to look after on the six hour flight.

It comes a day after Denise hosted a celebratory 'baby shower' gathering at Beverly Hills' Montage Hotel, with guests including Tori Spelling, Lisa Rinna, Mel B, and Nancy O'Dell.

The star is in New York to promote her new biography, The Real Girl Next Door.

But she intends to mix business with pleasure and has planned to take her children to see the Lion King while in the Big Apple.

Denise tweeted today: 'Eloise's 1st trip to NY!! The girls are really excited about this trip!!'

The Wild Things actress and former Bond Girl, who took Eloise into her care the day she was born, recently opened up about the new addition to her family.

'She's brought so much joy, and I love her to pieces,' she told America's Us Weekly.

'She is a cuddle bug. She loves being hugged and held. She's such a beautiful little baby and little soul.'

She also revealed that her ex Sheen, whom she talks to every day, is thrilled for her.

'Charlie is truly very happy for me,' said the star, who is currently single. 'He knows I always wanted more kids.'

She also revealed it was a difficult and complicated process.

'Some people think if a celebrity wants a baby, they get one the next day. The adoption took two years, and there were times I felt discouraged, times when I got close to adopting a baby and it fell through.

'But I knew the right baby would find us.'

While her ex-husband Charlie Sheen continues his manic tour across the US, Denise Richards decided to go in search of inner peace in the Bahamas.

It's something that must be hard to find, with the father of her two daughters issuing forth blistering invective in venues across her homeland.

To make things worse, the venomous rants in his Torpedoes of Truth tour are frequently aimed at his former wife.

Richards though, seems to have settled upon a spiritual solution to the turmoil and was quick to transport their daughters Sam, seven, and Lola, five , far away from news of their father's latest antics.

And the 40-year-old looked radiant and content for it, as she showed off her fine form in various complicated yoga positions in Nassau last Thursday.

Former Dancing with the Stars contestant, Richards, even had her own yogi to instruct in advanced positions and meditation by the beautiful ocean.

Rant: Sheen has slated Richards


Richards is spending much time by the ocean in this tumultuous period and found unexpected inspiration in the form of former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger's wife Maria Shriver, 55 , on the beach.

She tweeted to the journalist and author, who has been happily married to the Terminator star turned politician for 24 years: 'Great seeing you and your beautiful family. Everyone on the beach was talking about how pretty you are.'

Shriver returned the compliment by revealing her children had said she could take 'tips' from Richards, but the mum-of-two responded: 'thats very sweet. you don't need any! but next time I get married, I want marriage tips:)'

'Vile kidnapper': Charlie Sheen threatens ex-wife Denise Richards with napalm in row over a dog

Apart from an impromptu visit to a chat show, he's been lying low for a couple of weeks and has restrained from his daily live streaming video rant.

But clearly you can't keep Charlie Sheen quiet for too long and this time it's his ex-wife Denise Richards was on the receiving end of one of his bizarre tirades.

The fallen-from-grace actor took to his Twitter page yesterday to accuse the actress of stealing his pet dogs.

He wrote: 'We must bombard with Warlock Napalm, that traitor and loser w***e #DUH -neese POOR-ARD. A VILE KIDNAPPER AND NOW DOG THIEF. HATE.'

And he added: 'Like a Dinosaur Stampede from middle earth RAGING atop Col. Kilgore's main rotor, our assault must be EPIC. The Truth is our rocket fuel. c.'

Denise, who split from the actor in 2006 and has two daughters with him, is believed to have given Sheen the two dogs when they were separating so the animals could be with their girls when they visited him.

But the actress denied she had stolen them back and according to E! Online, she only took them away after becoming concerned for their welfare at the start of his very public meltdown.

A source close to the actress said: 'When Denise saw the dogs a couple of months ago, they were in such bad shape, one of them died after Denise took it. She has one of them, and the other one died.'

And although it is unclear what breeds the dogs were, last week, Richards took to her Twitter page to announce that their Boston Terrier Lucy had passed away.

She wrote: 'She was 12, had her since she was a pup. Been thru so much with me...we will miss her…'

Meanwhile, the source said that Sheen, who is believed to be in 'talks' with Fox about returning to Two and a Half Men, is not a 'dog lover' and Richards was just trying to 'save them'.
