Stacey Solomon goes for trendy dip-dyed look as she gets long blonde hair extensions

By Sarah Bull

Trendy: Stacey Solomon sported a trendy dip-dyed look after getting blonde hair extensions in London yesterday

She had an incredibly busy weekend after taking part in the London triathlon.

So it's no wonder Stacey Solomon appeared to be in her element as she had her hair done yesterday.

The 21-year-old star kicked back and relaxed as she had blonde hair extensions added to her 'do to give her that trendy dip-dyed look.

After having the extensions matched in both colour and texture, they were added to Stacey's hair and teased into relaxed curls ready for the summer.

Dressed down in taupe-coloured jeans, a short-sleeved top and fur-lined boots, Stacey read magazines and chatted to the stylist as she was primped and preened.

Watching intently as the extensions were put in by hair extension expert Tatiana Karelina, Stacey looked delighted with the end result as she left the boutique salon Tatiana Hair Extensions in Kensington yesterday.

Kicking back and relaxing: Stacey appeared to be enjoying her down time after a busy weekend which saw her compete in the London triathlon

And Stacey later tweeted: 'Loving my new hair thanks so much @TatianaHairExts xxx'

When she first came onto the scene in The X Factor in 2009, Stacey had light brown hair highlighted with blonde streaks.

But the singer has experimented with a variety of different styles, going from bleached blonde locks to almost jet black when she competed on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! last year.

Stacey's new locks must come as a welcome change from having to put her brown hair up in a swimming cap for the triathlon over the weekend.

And the singer's new look comes ahead of her presenting a series of outside broadcasts on ITV show This Morning later this summer alongside fellow celebrities including Imogen Thomas, Brian Dowling and Su Pollard.

But This Morning isn't the only commitment Stacey has over the summer.

The former X Factor contestant will also be working hard on her debut perfume, Smile, which is set to launch in September.

Announcing the fragrance news last month, Stacey said: 'I can't believe I've been approached to make a perfume. Little old me from Dagenham!'

Ever-changing: Stacey is constantly updating her appearance, opting for blonde hair and then going for a dark look as she competed on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! last year

Bored are we Stacey? Miss Solomon struggles to contain yawns as she ditches the bob for long and luscious locks

By Sarah Fitzmaurice

Bit bored? Stacey Solomon struggled to contain a yawn as she spent the day in the hairdresser getting hair extensions

Achieving the perfect hairstyle can easily take hours – just ask Stacey Solomon.

The former X Factor contestant appeared extremely bored as she spent most of her day at the hairdressers in London yesterday, having extremely long hair extensions put in.

The Dagenham-born singer struggled to contain her boredom and was seen yawning as she sat in the stylist’s chair.

But achieving long and luscious locks takes time, and man-power, and Stacey had two stylists working on her hair.

Earlier this month the mother-of-one had been seen sporting a short dark bob seen at her book signing and as she sang at the FA Cup final.

But it didn’t take long for Stacey to miss a bigger bouffant and she attended an extended appointment at The Four Salon in London getting extensions put in, leaving her with longer and lighter locks.

Hair care takes time: Stacey was dressed in comfy clothing in a pair of leggings and a vest for the extended hair appointment in The Four salon, London yesterday

Hair everywhere! Stacey helped out the stylist by holding some of the extensions which transformed her short bob into luscious locks

At least Stacey had opted for comfy clothing for her marathon hair session and she was dressed in a pair of black leather-style leggings and a sheer grey T-shirt.

But Stacey’s patience and the stylist’s expertise paid off when the singer left with a full head of shiny hair which hung down almost to her waist.

Earlier this month Stacey had displayed a drastic and dark look with thick heavy eyebrows matching her deep brown hair at her autobiography My Story So Far, book signing.

Hair today more tomorrow: Earlier this month Stacey had displayed a drastic short bob at her book signing but has not regained her luscious locks

The book details her struggle to come to terms with motherhood after falling pregnant at 17 and she gives a frank account of her confusion when Zach was born.

‘I didn’t really want to hold him. I didn’t resent him, I resented myself and all I could think was that this was it, my life was over. I felt so hopeless. I didn’t want a baby.’

All hands to the scalp: The singer was seen by two stylists who worked on her hair to transform her at a London salon

Final rinse through: After the brunette stylist put the extensions in Stacey was lead to the sink by a blond hair dresser who finished off the style

The book also details her struggle to combat post natal depression and has proved popular with her fans.

On Tuesday Stacey took to Twitter to thank her fans for buying the book she tweeted: ‘Woooo can't believe my books no2 in the Sunday times best sellers that's amazing thank u everyone wouldnt be able to do anything without u!x’

Stacey Solomon goes for inked-in eyebrows and helmet hair for her first ever book signing

By Daily Mail Reporter

New look: Last year's I'm A Celebrity winner Stacey Solomon showed off her new eyebrows and straight bob as she launched her autobiography in Chelmsford today (l) - compared to her look on 2009's X Factor (r)

She won the nation's hearts on 2009's X Factor and stormed to victory on last year's I'm A Celebrity - but Stacey Solomon won't be winning many extra fans with her new makeover.

The 21-year-old singer recently had her hair dyed dark brown - and today revealed heavily coloured-in eyebrows too at her first ever book signing.

She was also sporting an unflattering straight elongated bob hair style in a marked style change from her wavy locks at the weekend, when she sang at the FA Cup final.

The mother-of-one was launching her autobiography My Story So Far at WH Smiths in Chelmsford.

There were astonishing scenes when four policemen and 10 security guards turned up to oversee an estimated 50 fans.

She wrote on her Twitter this afternoon: 'Can't believe how many people turned up today in Chelmsford for my first book signing !! Thank you so much love u all! Mwaa xxx'

The star, who lives in nearby Dagenham, was clearly hoping for more people to turn up.

Over the top: Four police officers and 10 security guards were at the event to marshall just 50 fans after the star staged the signing in school hours - meaning many young fans couldn't attend

She wrote on her Twitter yesterday: 'So excited for my first ever book signing tomorrow in Chelmsford wahooooo hope to see all of my locals there, yay.'

But many young fans were left disappointed that she was doing the book signing during school hours.

Posting on her official website, one fan opined: 'Stacey, I can't believe you are doing it at this time and date, I'm at school. Really, really wanted to meet you.'

The star, who is also the new face of Iceland and features in ads with her three-year-old son Zachary, released her book last Thursday.

Not mobbed: The police officers were left laughing and chatting among themselves as far fewer than expected fans turned up to the Chelmsford signing

She said of the tome: 'At first, I didn't want to write an autobiography because I'm only 21 but it was nice to look back on things and remember exactly how I felt.'

Stacey, who co-hosts ITV1's Saturday night show Sing If You Can with comedian Keith Lemon, is currently also rumoured to be in talks to also become the new host of The Xtra Factor.

If she is successful, she will take over from the axed Konnie Huq.

She is also currently working on her debut album and recently revealed she would love to present Big Brother when it re-launches on Channel 5 later this year.

Oh my god! Sing If You Can presenter Stacey Solomon gets the chop

By JODY THOMPSON

Get shorty: Stacey Solomon showed off her new short hairstyle as she left ITV1's London studios after an appearance on Loose Women yesterday

She only recently went back to her roots and ditched the bleach to return to her natural brunette - and now Stacey Solomon has rung in the changes ever further by having her hair cut into a wavy bob.

The 21-year-old star revealed her brand new do as she left the ITV studios on London's South Bank after a guest appearance yesterday on Loose Women.

Smiling for the cameras as ever, Stacey showed off the style wearing a bright peach top with a white bow, taupe leggings and red bowed flipflops.

The former X Factor star, who won last year's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here - is famed for her non-stop talking and exclamations like 'Oh my god!'.

She came third on the X Factor in 2009, won last year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me out Of Here and this year's Celebrity Mum Of the Year and lives in Dagenham, Essex, with her three-year-old son, Zachary.

Stacey currently co-hosts with comedy star Keith Lemon the hysterical Sing If You Can, a guilty Saturday night pleasure on ITV1 for many, but a show that also more importantly raises money for the Teenage Cancer Trust charity.

Longer locks: Stacey, left, on I'm A Celebrity at the end of last year, and right, in 2009 during her time on X Factor

The show sees celebrities attempting to sing songs while all sorts of distractions happen around them - like last week, when football legend Rodney Marsh and singer Ray Quinn attempted to sing Blur's Parklike while surrounded by dogs.

Teenage Cancer Trust aims to ensure that every young person with cancer and their family receive the best possible care so the show is well worth watching and donating - or just donate anyway.

Meanwhile, ditzy Essex star Stacey, who confirmed last month that she is wokring on her debut album, also has a book coming out on 12 May.

Her autobiography, it's called My Story So Far.
