Out cold: Bradley Cooper wakes up with one sore head as he reprises his role as Phil Wenneck in The Hangover 2
There are hangovers... and then there are the mother-of-all hangovers.
Bradley Cooper wakes up with one sore head as he reprises his role as Phil Wenneck in The Hangover 2.
Out cold on the floor, the 36-year-old actor is pale, clammy and red-eyed.
Troubles: Cooper wakes up in what appears to be the aftermath of a wild night in an empty Bangkok hotel room, while Alan Gardner, played by Zach Galifianakis falls off a bunk bed with shaved head
His antics are all in the name of the hotly-anticipated sequel to the first film, The Hangover, which grossed a staggering $467,416,722 worldwide, making it the highest-grossing R-rated comedy ever in the United States.
The sequel is a relatively similar format to its 2009 predecessor: After Phil, Alan, played by Zach Galifianakis and Stu, played by Ed Helms throw a wild bachelor party in Bangkok, they're forced to piece together their night after being roofied (drugged with Rohypnol) during their boys' night out.
This time the group have swapped Las Vegas for Thailand for the bachelor party for hapless Stu.
Inked: Once again, Stu, played by Ed Helms is shocked to discover a horrific body modification
Panicked: Running to the bathroom mirror he discovers the tribal design and turns to Galifianakis and screams: 'Alan what did you do? Did you Roofie me?'
Some Fans may be disappointed to know that it is not Jade the stripper from Las Vegas (played by Heather Graham)
Instead Sucker Punch's Jamie Chung has replaced Graham as Stu's love interest.
The trailer opens with a scene of a rehearsal dinner in Thailand.
Alan stands up to do a speech referring to the boy's antics in the first film.
New friend: A cheeky monkey has replaced the baby in the first film as the sidekick
'None of you know Stu like I do. I can't even tell you what we've been through because we made a pact. What I can tell you is this is not Stu's first marriage, there was a w**** in Las Vegas a couple of years ago.'
After deciding to hit the town for a night out, Stu's new fiancée asks the boys to take her little brother Teddy along, which proves to be a big mistake.
Then with the camera panning across what appears to be the aftermath of a wild night in an empty Bangkok hotel room, the antics begin.
Toast: Galifianakis gives an hilarious speech about Stu at the beginning of the trailer
Before the antics: just like the last film the boys are seen toasting to the groom before things go pear-shaped
Stu wakes up in an empty bathtub, Phil rises in a clammy sweat and Alan drops from the a bunk bed with a shaved head.
And once again, Stu is shocked to discover a horrific body modification.
But this time it's not a missing tooth, instead he has been tattooed on the side of his face.
He's back! Near naked Mr Chow, played by Ken Jeong returns for the sequel
'Your going to freak out but it will be ok,' Phil says to Stu. 'Is it my teeth?' replies Stu.
Running to the bathroom mirror he discovers the tribal design and turns to Alan and screams: 'Alan what did you do? Did you Roofie me?'
And just like the first film, a member of the clan has gone missing.
Road wars: The clan get into a high speed car chase on the wild street of Bangkok
Panic: As always Helms' character Stu goes into melt down
But this time it's not the groom, it is Stu's brother-in-law-to-be, Teddy.
The trailer then plunges into a montage of the boys in search for the teenager in the wild streets of Bangkok.
It cuts to the film's main stars who are walking down the street in slow motion with a monkey in tow.
Road trip: The movie sees the boys travel with some monks
During the malarkey the boys visit a monastery where Alan gets knocked out by a monk, a girly bar where gun fire breaks out and yet another car chase where the boys trash a sport-car.
A cheeky monkey has replaced the baby in the first film as the sidekick, and the boys once again come face to face with a near-naked Mr Chow, played by Ken Jeong who instead of chasing the boys around town join them in their search to find Teddy
Justin Bartha, who played the groom in the original hit film, stars in the second instalment, but plays a minor role.
Former president Bill Clinton shot a brief cameo in the comedy earlier this year
Liam Neeson also plays a tattoo artist
What a blast: They also run into some gunfire in a girly bar forcing Galifianakis to use a firearm
